UPDATE AUGUST 31, 1997
Flea just completed a cameo role in Terry Gilliam's new film "Fear
& Loathing in Las Vegas" (From the Hunter S. Thompson book) starring
Johnny Depp.
Flea's Australian girl friend Marissa recently celebrated her 24th birthday
with Flea and friends in Los Angeles. Chad was there and in good spirits.
Anthony's on his way to NYC to do an MTV no-holds-barred interview on
September 3rd (airdate unkown).
Despite the RHCP cancellation of their Las Vegas show at the Aladdin
(due to Chad's motorcycle accident), several fan club members, the Head
Honcho, James and possibly webmaster Jon will still rendez-vous September
11th in Vegas.
Here are some photos from the forthcoming US magazine spread featuring
Dave Navarro. The shoot was done at a big mansion in Pasadena. Photographer
was Mark Seliger and all clothes were by Anna Sui. The issue comes out in
November. This info and photos come from good friend and publicist Ken Phillips
in Hollywood.

UPDATE AUGUST 26, 1997
On Sunday Chad wiped out his Harley on Jan & Dean's dead man's curve
near where Sunset Boulevard joins Bel Air and Beverly Hills. Although not
life threateaning (disclocated shoulder, scrapes, cuts and bruises) it's
bad enough to cancel the three RHCP September concerts Las Vegas, Alaska
and Hawaii. Makeup dates hopefully after Janes Relapse Tour

In the meantime Anthony and Flea have started working hard on the new
album and report good progress. Anthony will travel to New York in early
September to participate in the MTV video award hoopla.

UPDATE AUGUST 10, 1997
This afternoon was the "Welcome Home Picnic" for Anthony here
at Headquarters. In attendance of course were Anthony, Louis, Sherri &
baby Cash visiting from L.A., also HH's long time friend David Weaver, Peggy
and a few other relatives and close friends of the family. Anthony is looking
good despite the blue cast on his right hand. He has to hold his hand up
above his head per Doctors orders so walks around the house looking like
he's high-fiving everyone. See the pix above.

UPDATE AUGUST 4, 1997
Anthony's inspirational friend William S. Burroughs who also influenced
the likes of Norman Mailer, Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac died Saturday
at age 83 in Lawrence Kansas.
Head Honcho,
I am sorry, but I don't have any pictures.
In August, MTV Japan and some Japanese TV stations will broadcast the
special program about FRF. I will send you the videos.
I add some to my last letter about FRF.
It had been already storming heavily. They came on the stage casually.
They were about 30 foot away from me. Suddenly the show began with "Suck
My Kiss". We exploded with excitement.
Everyone being there was fascinated by them. Especially Dave's guitar.
It seemed that not only women but also men felt it really sexy. I couldn't
remember all of the details of the night.
Maybe they played "Suck My Kiss", "Backwoods", "Walkabout",
"Power of Equality", "Stone Cold Bush", "Blood
Sugar Sex Magik" and "Give It Away".
The rain and wind were getting harder and harder as the show went to
the climax.
Anthony was the best-looking man of them who I saw in that day. It was
raining to his face. His long beautiful hair was flying in the air. He looked
like a sculpture made by Michelangelo. He said, "One more." The
song "Give It Away" started. After having sang, Anthony moved
to the backstage. Then Dave played the drums by his guitar. Flea threw his
bass to the drums, and Chad broke it.
So the show was over. It was only 40 minutes. I couldn't understand
what happened.
When the promoter of FRF told us to have finished the show, we couldn't
accept it. We wanted "Under the Bridge", "Pea", "Higher
Ground" and more songs. However, we knew it was hard to continue.
Ironically after 10 minutes, the storm calmed down.
Their show was beyond all my imagination. They say that Dave Grohl (Foo
Fighters) said "this is so fucking great" seeing the RHCP's show
in the wings.
I am looking forward to their coming to Japan again soon.
Bye.
